SAINT PAUL, MN – Minnesota-based Old Home Foods won first prize in an international competition for product innovation with its new Safflower Power yogurt. Safflower Power yogurt is the first yogurt in the United States enhanced with Clarinol® CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid), which is derived from natural safflower oil and clinically proven to help increase muscle tone and reduce body fat.
The International Innovation Contest, sponsored by New Foods Magazine in Germany, received 131 new product entries from 16 countries. Editorial staff evaluated and rated each entry, selecting Safflower Power yogurt to win first prize for Product Concept and Nutritional Value. The awards were announced in April.
